Notice the pattern, not just the symptom

A single skipped meal may not mean much, but appetite changes paired with hiding, restlessness or altered drinking can be useful clues. Write down what changed and when.

If the change is sudden, severe or paired with breathing difficulty, collapse or repeated vomiting, call a veterinarian promptly rather than waiting for the pattern to resolve.
